Hi! My name is Alix Parker and I am the newest addition to the StringCan family as the Digital Marketing Coordinator. I will assist the team in digital strategy, social media and search. I recently graduated with my Bachelor of Science degree in Business Marketing from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. My first week at StringCan has been great and I am very excited to dig in to my work and see what adventures I will have here!
Yet another Arizona native joins the team! Tell us a little about yourself and growing up in AZ.
I was born and raised in the suburbia of Phoenix, Ahwatukee, but despite a cookie cutter atmosphere I grew up as a curious individual who wants to see and experience the world.
What are your passions in- or outside of work?
Marketing, digital technology, social networking, volunteering and having new experiences through friends, events, and traveling.
What adjectives would your friends use to describe you?
What do you think about when you are alone in your car?"
Usually I am too busy jamming out to hip-hop, rap, or country music.
"A penguin walks through that door right now wearing a sombrero. What does he say and why is he here?"
Penguino is a traveling snow penguin that wanted to escape the cold landscape of the arctic to get a little southwest flavor…..and a tan.
"If we came to your house for dinner, what would you prepare for us?"
Vegetarian burrito bowl with spicy guacamole on top!
"What kitchen utensil would you be?"
Spork. I want the best of both worlds.
What’s your favorite YouTube video?
This video is hilarious to me and is from MadTV: Bon Qui Qui
On a serious note, what are you most looking forward to learning from StringCan?
I am looking forward to further developing my digital marketing skills and learning from my coworkers.
What will clients enjoy most about working with you?
Clients will enjoy that I am a hard worker and put my all into my work. They will appreciate that I am a strategic thinker and will try and do what is best for them.
What do results mean to you?
Results are very important because it shows not only the outcome of something but also shows you where you can improve and grow from it.
What is your proudest accomplishment and why?
I am proud that I continuously push my self to try new things and put myself out there. This year, I conquered my fear of traveling alone by flying all the way to Brazil to be independent and experience something new!
