Welcome Our New Digital Marketing Intern, Renee Coulombe!

James Grant helps create and implement innovate engagement strategies so that clients around the world can connect with their audience online and build relationships of value in trust in creative and effective ways.

One of our favorite things about being close to some of the nation's top Universities is the opportunity we have to bring in interns and expose them to the world of digital marketing and strategy. At the start of our Spring Internship Program we are excited to introduce you to one of the superstars we found, Renee Coulombe. As a student at Arizona State University, we are excited to have Renee join our team this semester.

Rene Background:

Tell us a little about yourself! Where are you from and what’s your story?

I was born in Edmonton, Alberta but three months after moved to Fargo, North Dakota where I was raised. I am the youngest of the family, and have one sister that is 5 years older than me. After braving the cold weather for 18 years I was ready to move to Arizona and pursue a Business Marketing degree at ASU.

How would you describe your personality in 5 words or less?

Energetic, passionate, tech-obsessed, creative and fun!

What could we find you doing outside of the office? What are your passions?

In my spare time I love to read, cook, and spend time with my family and friends. I love working out and spend a lot of my time attending Pilates, yoga, and barre fitness classes.

Please explain your vision board below and what it means to you.

ReneeVision

This vision board shows some of my goals for the future in my career and everyday life. The biggest thing I want for my future is to be successful in whatever I choose to do. I hope to stay active and frequently be able to travel to destinations I have not yet had the opportunity to go. Eventually I hope to buy a house and fill it with all the books I have read, and still would like to read.

Fun:

If you were a kitchen appliance, which one would you be?

I would probably be the oven because it can always produce surprising results.

If you were reincarnated as an animal/drink/ice cream flavor, what would it be?

I would be a cup of hot herbal tea; it’s calming and perfect on a rainy day. (My favorite drink and my favorite kind of day!)

If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would it be?

If I could meet anyone it would probably be George Balanchine. I’ve been heavily influenced by ballet and performance in my life, and he is a very inspirational person in that realm.

You just won a million dollars, what is the most irresponsible purchase you’re going to make?

My most irresponsible purchase if I won a million dollars would probably be either designer clothing or a new car.

What’s your favorite YouTube video and why?

My favorite YouTube video is a recording from the show So You Think You Can Dance season 8. It is a piece by Tyce Diorio about a circus. This is one of my favorite performances from the show; I’m in love with the music and the theatricality.

Business:

On a serious note, what are you most looking forward to learning from StringCan?

I am really looking forward to learning about strategy development, analytics, and becoming better at creating and editing content.

What will clients enjoy most about working with you?

I believe clients will most enjoy my energy and ideas.

What do results mean to you?

To me results are the end product of successes as well as failures. Through the interpretation of results you can learn to succeed in future endeavors.

What is your proudest accomplishment and why?

My proudest accomplishment thus far has been being able to pick up my life and move to a new city. Moving to a completely new state and attending a new school where I knew no one was very challenging, but in time I grew to love it, and it opened my eyes to many future possibilities.
