Infographics: A Must for Marketing

Our Digital Scientists are made up of tech-loving, results-oriented, passionate, digital marketing nerds who have an unnatural obsession with all things digital. Most likely seen glued to a screen and spewing new digital marketing trends.

What sounds better to you then a more visually appealing, easy on the eyes, interactive version of your website or concept? Well, for us at StringCan Interactive, we can’t think of anything better. I'm talking about infographics.

So if you’re already using Infographics, don’t leave! Maybe this can help you improve, provide you with some ideas or reassure you that you're taking steps in the right direction. If you’re new to infographics, give us a listen.

First, just a brush over of what infographics are, and it’s super simple, they are a visual presentation of a more complicated concept or idea, making things much easier to understand. Infographics can include anything from bullet points to pictures to graphs and charts, the possibilities are endless – except for long, drawn out paragraphs. If you are a person that would describe themselves as a person that loves to read, even you would appreciate infographics because it takes somewhat boring, unappealing and complicated concepts like statistics, and makes them interesting and easy to read.


So, the logical question any skeptic or new comer may have is “Why?”

With all of the information this world has absorbed over time, we need something to make things simpler, and infographics do just that. There is always the need for the organization of detail-consumed work. I touched on some reasons above but there are numerous more. Visuals are so vital to the human mind, 65% of humans are visual learners, with 90% of the information that comes to the brain being visual.

By using an eye-catching template to explain concepts, the infographic and your data get shared easier through social media outlets because of the desire people have to share appealing information. Your information has the capability of reaching hundreds of people, even people from other areas of the country or even other countries in general, in a short amount of time due to just one person sharing the infographic to their page. Also, your Infographic is linked in a way that your website is just one click from the viewer’s website, making it quick and easily accessible. Make sure you have your brand visible on the infographic, which gives your business another way of gaining recognition, just another opportunity infographics provide you with.

Infographics can also help you with your page rank on Google. By having your infographic linked directly to your site, it makes Search Engine Optimization easy for you, making Google rank your page higher because of the amount of visits due to the increased sharing of your infographic.

When it comes to infographics, they do require a solid effort, a lot of background research and outlining of the concept and design of the page itself. You have to be tactical in how you layout the page, what goes where, what kind of pictures, statistics and graphs should go where or what shouldn’t be on the page. But all of this work and research pays off because to your target audience, it makes you look even better, showing that you know all there is to know about the information you are providing people and that you’ve done the research to back up your logic.
