We welcome James Grant to the StringCan team and interviewed him with below questions
Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself! Where are you from and what’s your story?
A: I was born and raised on the shores of the San Francisco Bay, and am a Californian at heart. I grew up swimming and swam for 14 years as a kid and played water polo too. I am a classical trained pianist, and have been playing for 16 years, and hence have a huge love of music as well as theater.
I relocated to Arizona from California just to join the StringCan Interactive team, and I could not be more excited about it! I got my bachelors degree in Business Management and Marketing and have a love for the digital space. You can always find me on social media, and keeping current with all my favorite ‘hot topics’.
Q: How would you describe your personality in 5 words or less?
A: Light-hearted, enthusiastic, positive, driven, caring.
Q: What could we find you doing outside of the office? What are your passions?
A: I absolutely love music and theater. My favorite app ever is Spotify, and I use it everyday to listen, discover, and share music. I am usually keeping tabs on The Great White Way, and am dreaming of my next trip to NYC. I love swimming, and teaching people how to swim. I also love to travel the world, whether by plane, train, or automobile, and spend time with family and friends.
Just for Fun!
Q: If you could be any famous landmark, what would you be and why?
A: The Statue of Liberty – I think standing for what you believe in is important. I think that no matter what happens in life you have to decide what is important to you, and be proud of who you are and what you believe in.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now where would you go and what would you do?
A: I would go to New York City, and I would take a walk in Central Park, visit a museum, eat at a fun restaurant, and see a Broadway show every night I’m there.
Q: You just won a million dollars, what is the most irresponsible purchase you’re going to make?
A: I would rent a private jet for a year, so I could travel the world.
Back To Business
Q: On a serious note, what are you most looking forward to learning from StringCan?
A: I am excited to learn more about how to be strategic in the digital space, and using new tools as the tech paradigms shift!
Q: What will clients enjoy most about working with you?
A: Clients that are anxious to ‘learn the game’ and win! I also am personable but efficient. I hate to waste time, but value relationships above all.
Q: What do results mean to you?
A: Everything! If you don’t get the results you want, then why are you doing it? But first, lets make sure you’re doing it the best you can!
Q: What is your proudest accomplishment and why?
A: As of now, my proudest accomplishment has been getting into the Business Program at my Alma Mater. The program is ranked 12th in the nation and it was extremely difficult to get into. When I graduated with that diploma it represented countless hours, months, semesters, and years of work towards a goal I really wanted, and had to put 110% into earning. It was a great feeling, and made all the difficulty worth it. It’s something I am truly proud of.
