Welcome Our New Digital Marketing Intern, Samantha Neerhof!

Alix Parker develops digital strategies for global clients and is passionate about connecting clients with the right audiences in order to maximize their online marketing efforts.

Our Spring internship program has officially started! We love having smart, creative, and passionate interns at StringCan so they can learn and grow and obtain real professional experience. Our newest addition to the team is Samantha Neerhof, a bright student from ASU who is passionate about business and travel. Learn more about her from our interview below:

Tell us a little about yourself! Where are you from and what’s your story?

I was born in Appleton, Wisconsin, however, my family moved to the small town of Norway, Michigan when I was just two weeks old. I lived in Norway until I was about 8 years old when my family moved to Tucson, Arizona. I am the middle child between two brothers. I’ve had an inexplicable interest in business since I was very young and absolutely fell in love with marketing after starting at ASU.

How would you describe your personality in 5 words or less?

Sarcastic, driven, creative, curious, and fun.

What could we find you doing outside of the office? What are your passions?

I am constantly listening to music, no matter what I’m doing. I love hanging out with friends, and watching movies and television shows. I also thoroughly enjoy figuring out how to do new things such as downloading new software and playing around with it or finding life hacks/tricks to use.

Please explain your vision board below and what it means to you.

My vision board depicts my general goals for my future. I aspire to travel as much as possible and find my other passions and pursue them. I also hope to be able to achieve success professionally by starting towards the bottom and working my way up. Ultimately, I hope to live a happy and healthy life (like Honey Nut Cheerios!).

Vision Board

If you were a kitchen appliance, which one would you be?

I would be a refrigerator/freezer because they’re very useful, almost everyone needs one, and I like to be cold.

If you were reincarnated as an animal/drink/ice cream flavor, what would it be?

I would be reincarnated as chocolate ice cream because it’s delicious, a classic, and always adds joy to life.

If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would it be?

I would love to meet Gary Hamel and learn as much as possible on how to be a better businesswoman.

You just won a million dollars, what is the most irresponsible purchase you’re going to make?

I would buy a first class trip around the world and stay in the nicest places possible.

What’s your favorite YouTube video and why?

My favorite YouTube video is Ghost in the Stalls by Olan Rogers. My friend showed it to me years ago and I still watch it every once in a while and find it hilarious.

On a serious note, what are you most looking forward to learning from StringCan?

I am excited to expand my marketing knowledge in general and to learn as much as possible about digital marketing. I’ve had a lot of traditional experience, which I enjoy, but I’ve always been interested in technology so I think I will really get into the digital side.

What will clients enjoy most about working with you?

I think clients will enjoy my passion to learn and the different perspective I can provide.

What do results mean to you?

Results are an important measuring tool to view progress and know where to go next. Whether the results are good or bad, they create a pathway to future endeavors.

What is your proudest accomplishment and why?

My proudest accomplishment is breaking out of my shell and being a lot more outgoing. I can now speak in front of crowds of people much more confidently and I always enjoy meeting new people.
