If you’re looking for the best books on corporate success or must-read books for digital marketers, we’ve got you covered. Happy reading!'

Work Habits & Productivity

1.) Essentialism by Greg McKeown

With all the “to-do”s on our lists and goals on our horizons, who doesn’t wish they had more hours available each day? Although time is sadly finite, you can achieve everything you want to (or, nearly everything) within the time you’re given. The trick? Practicing “essentialism.” In this book, Greg McKeown offers “a disciplined, systematic approach for determining where our highest point of contribution lies, then making execution of those things almost effortless.”

2.) Effortless by Greg McKeown

Speaking of actions becoming more effortless, this is another book of McKeown’s that topped our 2022 reading list. Adding onto the powerful guidance around essentialism, this read delivers “proven strategies for making the most important activities the easiest ones,” like mapping out the minimum number of steps, finding the courage to “be rubbish” and more.

Leadership Lessons

3.) Dare to Lead by Brené Brown

It’s hard to find someone who hasn’t benefited from the research-backed teachings of Brené Brown. While we appreciate all of her books, this one is particularly helpful for business leaders looking to “dare greatly, rise strong and brave the wilderness.” When you read this, you’ll learn about Brown’s research with leaders, change makers, and culture shifters, and how to put those ideas into practice so you can step up and lead with great courage.

4.) Extreme Ownership by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin

Few would argue that Navy SEALs are some of the most fascinating, dedicated people in the world. That’s why we loved this book that centers on the experiences of two former SEALs who had to figure out how to cultivate discipline and remain calm in high-stakes combat situations. As a business leader, you’ll learn how to adapt what they’ve learned in the field in order to take responsibility for failure, face pressure, manage risks, and much more.

Important, Niche Books

5.) Family 2.0 by Jay Feitlinger

Of course, we couldn’t list our favorite books without mentioning this one, written by our Founder & CEO Jay Feitlinger. A true serial entrepreneur, Jay shares the highs and lows of his own experiences of trying to balance running a business and prioritizing his family. Through touching personal stories, and an actionable roadmap you can use immediately, the takeaway is clear: you can still be an entrepreneur, and not sacrifice your family in the process.

6.) Never Split the Difference by Chris Voss & Tahl Raz

If you’ve ever wondered how to negotiate, whether it’s with your clients, your vendors, or really anybody else, this book is for you. The former policeman turned FBI kidnapping negotiator Chris Voss writes about the high-stakes negotiations he navigated in his career and the nine key principles that helped him succeed the most. Although most of us will never need to talk down bank robbers or terrorists (fortunately), all of us can benefit from becoming better negotiators as we advocate for ourselves, our companies, and others.

7.) Create Togetherness by Jeff Davis

Sales and marketing alignment has been thrust into the spotlight within the past few years - and for good reason. Especially within B2B organizations, the two departments staying in lockstep with one another can make a world of difference in strengthening teams and accelerating revenue growth. In this book, expert Jeff Davis offers practical ways sales and marketing can join forces and create a partnership that meets the demands of the modern buyer. If you want to amp up your business’ growth this year, it’s time to give this a read. There you have it; seven of the best books for corporate success and leadership lessons. We’re eager to continue our internal Book Club in 2023, and gain even more knowledge we’ll surely pass on to you. What are some of your favorite must-read books for digital marketers?
